PARTY FAQ'S (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)

Party Information

  • Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the party start time.
  • On arrival, check in at reception, and our team will direct you to the party room.
  • Presents may be left in the party room, but please note they are left at the owner&s risk.
  • Cold drinks and snacks are available to purchase from the café.

Bringing Siblings to a Standard Party

  • To avoid disappointment, please book siblings in as soon as you receive the party invitation.
  • If siblings arrive on the day without a booking, we cannot guarantee entry.

What about adults and siblings?

  • A minimum of 2 adults must attend each party. We recommend bringing more, as Cupcake Kangaroo staff do not supervise children.
  • Each child may be accompanied by a maximum of 1 adult.
  • Final party numbers are confirmed 7 days before your party. After this point, we are unable to offer refunds for no-shows, as preparation is based on confirmed numbers.
  • If adults or siblings have not been booked in advance, we cannot guarantee space will be available on the day.
  • If the party host brings siblings who are not invited guests, they will be charged at the standard entry rate, which will be added to the extras bill at the end of the party.

FOR HOW LONG DO WE GET THE PARTY ROOM?

The party room is available for you for the first hour of your booking.

If guests don't arrive do I still pay?

Yes, if the final agreed number of child party guests do not turn up on the day there are no refunds for this.

What if I want to change my order?

If you'd like to make changes to your order, please email us atcontact@cupcakekangaroo.co.uk. We'll always be in touch one week before your party to confirm final numbers and any food choices. Please note that changes are subject to availability, and we may not always be able to accommodate last-minute requests.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If we book for 20 children, is this cupcake kangaroo's full capacity?

No, the capacity at the moment for a session is 29 kids, so there will be others in the main hall.

If you wish to guarantee no other people, then you would need to book a 'Private Party' that gives you two hours of the space to yourselves.

Can I bring my own plates?

Yes, you're welcome to bring your own paper plates — just be sure to mention this during your pre-party phone call with us in the week before your celebration.

While we're making a big effort to reduce single-use items, we do provide reusable plastic plates, cups, and cutlery that are safe and suitable for children.

Can we provide other food?

You cannot bring your own food apart from the celebration cake.

A tab can be kept at the cafe should you wish to provide the adults and guests with cold and hot beverages during the session. Guests are more than welcome to use the cafe themselves.

Any extra food ordered on the day can be paid for by card at reception before you leave.

What about decorations?

The party room is decorated as a party room.

We do not provide other decorations.

You can bring your own but there are provisos:

  • No party poppers of any description
  • No untethered helium balloons
  • Balloons must stay in the party room
  • Decorations must not be stuck to the walls or any part of the room
  • All decorations (and present wrappings / envelopes / cards etc) must be removed at the end of the party - we can supply a black bin bag which should be taken home with you

Cupcake Kangaroo - Party Terms & Conditions

Tickets & Cancellations

  • All party bookings are non-refundable (in part or full).
  • Parties may be rescheduled once, provided you give at least 3 weeks' notice by emailing contact@cupcakekangaroo.co.uk.
  • Our office hours are Mon-Fri, 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Reschedule requests can only be processed during these times.
  • Rescheduled parties must be held within 8 weeks of the original date.
  • If Cupcake Kangaroo is forced to close at your party time, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Arrival & Check-in

  • Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your party begins.
  • On arrival, check in at Reception and hand over a printed/written guest list for smooth entry.
  • Coats and presents can be left in the party room (at the owner's risk).
  • Parties cannot be extended if guests arrive late.

Adults & Supervision

  • At least 2 adults must attend each party (more are recommended, as staff do not supervise children).
  • Each child may be accompanied by 1 adult maximum in the play area.
  • The party host is responsible for supervising all children during the party and ensuring they are collected safely at the end.

Guest Numbers & Payments

  • We'll contact you 1 week before your party to confirm numbers and food.
  • Final balances must be paid before the party starts.
  • Guest numbers are locked in 7 days in advance — no refunds for no-shows or drop-outs.
  • You may add guests up to 48 hours before the party (space permitting).
  • Siblings who are not booked in advance cannot be guaranteed entry.
  • Any uninvited siblings seated at the party table will be charged at the standard entry rate (added to the extras bill).

Food & Drink

  • You can choose whether playtime is before or after food.
  • All catering must come from the Cupcake Kangaroo Café, except for the birthday cake.
  • Cold drinks and snacks are available to purchase.
  • Please notify us of any dietary requirements in advance.

Play Rules & Safety

  • Socks must be worn in the play area (bring spares).
  • Children should wear comfortable clothing for safe play.
  • Not permitted: spray foam, party poppers, streamers, piñatas, or wall decorations.
  • Occasionally, parts of the play space may be closed for safety or maintenance without compensation.

Leaving & Settling Up

  • Please vacate the party room on time, taking all belongings.
  • Any outstanding balances (including café tabs) must be settled before leaving.
